Multicap supplies all required specialised equipment for the implementation of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections. Point-to-point connects two or more buildings or locations with each other wirelessly. This connection offers sufficient performance and reliability to serve as your network's backbone.

Point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections are often much cheaper and require a shorter implementation time than underground fibre optics. A terrestrial transmission is the ideal solution if you need to connect one or more nearby buildings or sites on to your existing central data network.

Provided that the correct set-up and configuration are used, it is even sometimes possible to span distances of up to more than fifteen kilometres. We have specialised antennas and radios for both point-to-point on licensed and unlicensed frequencies.

We supply all required specialised equipment, advice and support to our resellers and integrators to implement point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connections at the end user.

We carry out the network design

We can perform the path engineering if required. Our engineers will give transparent and clear answers to the questions below based on an accurate survey of the sites that will include photos, height measurements, drawings showing the position of objects and much more:

  • Which obstacles (trees, high buildings, etc.) can be found between the points to be connected?

  • Is there a free line-of-sight or must antenna masts or relay points be installed?

  • Is there a reflection risk that would reduce the point-to-point connection quality?

  • Which radios and antennas are required to implement the point-to-point?

Experience with all circumstances

We can thrive on our rich history, knowledge and experience to make of any request a success story.

  • We connected cars with cameras in non-line-of-sight circumstances
  • Build networks for self-driven cars transporting both people and goods
  • Implemented space diversity links at sea over 35km
  • Designed, trained the staff and validated an over 350-link network
  • Shore-t-off-shore networks for vessels moving and turning in all directions, both at short range and long range
  • Set up temporary networks with links attached to trees
  • Implemented laser and links with highly directive antennas
  • Linked PLCs with a need of a few kbps up to multigigabit links for offices or camera networks
